The Kansas city chiefs are already laying the groundwork for a future without Travis Kelce, holding early discussions with Troy University tight end Ethan Conner as part of their 2026 NFL Draft evaluations.
Conner’s emergence has been one of the quieter but more compelling stories in college football. Once a two-star recruit out of Mississippi, he has steadily developed into a legitimate NFL prospect, combining size, toughness, and reliability at a position where longevity and versatility matter.
That development has not gone unnoticed, particularly by a Chiefs organisation keenly aware that Kelce’s career is closer to its end than its beginning.
Veteran NFL reporter Aaron Wilson revealed just how wide Conner’s early interest has become, listing Kansas City among a growing group of suitors.
