Mark and Aimee Maye built a family rooted in athletics.

“We are really fortunate with our family. There’s a lot to be thankful for,” he said. “The guys have, for the most part, adhered to their values. We really tried to do our best with them and enjoy them.”

That competitive spirit showed up in different arenas. Luke and Beau both played basketball at UNC, Cole took his talents to the baseball field at the University of Florida and Drake followed in his father’s footsteps by playing football at UNC.

Aimee grew up in North Carolina, where she was a star basketball player at West Charlotte High School and the Mecklenburg County girls’ player of the year in her senior year of high school.
