Breaking News: LaKeith Stanfield replaces Jonathan Majors as Dennis Rodman in film about crazy Vegas trip during NBA Finals…see more
LaKeith Stanfield has officially boarded 48 Hours in Vegas, a film chronicling the Chicago Bull’s infamous trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals.

“I’m genuinely excited to help create an exhilarating, joyful work that both honors and thoughtfully examines the legacy of Rodman and fellow trailblazers,” the Atlanta star said in a statement. “Those who moved to the beat of their own drum, undeterred by the obstacles placed before them, then and now.”
Famuyiwa, who will also write a new draft of 48 Hours in Vegas, was one of many directors set to helm 2023’s The Flash before departing the project, though he received a credit for additional literary material.
All of his directorial efforts for the past decade have been for the small screen, including the pilot for The Chi and several episodes of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. He also wrote and directed We Will Be Monsters, a four-episode miniseries about Universal Monsters like the Bride of Frankenstein and the Mummy, as a collaboration with Fortnite.
