The music mega-producer — who’s featured in PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive issue — tells PEOPLE exclusively that it’s important for him and Gomez to ease into their day.

“I’m a real morning person. It’s my favorite time to spend with Sel, because we both wake up really early,” he says of Gomez, who’s been garnering Oscar buzz for her role in Emilia Pérez. “We’re usually eating breakfast by 6:15. It’s like our moment before the rest of the world wakes up.”

Though there are days he would like to sleep in, Blanco, 36, says he’s still usually up before dawn.

“I get sleepy at nighttime. I’m like an old man. I want to go to bed early. I want to lay down. I want to be horizontal as quickly as possible throughout the day,” he quips. “I still wake up at 6 no matter what time [I go to bed]. I go to bed at 5:30 [a.m.] and I’m up at 6:15.'”

In the wide-ranging interview — during which Blanco shared eight rules for being a sexy gentleman — the TikTok sensation underscored the importance of prioritizing your partner’s needs.

“I go all out for every date. We go all out for each other. One time Sel was like, ‘Oh, I want to take you on a date.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s so sweet.’ Then we drove somewhere and she had rented out a whole botanical gardens for me,” he recalls.
