ALLEN IVERSON REVEALS: “I was young and living my life”- Iverson on how going out every night for the first five years of his career never hurt his game…
A primary reason Iverson drew a polarizing reception from certain sections. Not to mention his frequent run-ins with the authorities, especially the late NBA commissioner David Stern.

Regardless, A.I. refused to mend his ways, backing it up with his offensive versatility. Recently, appearing on Josh Mansour’s Unscripted, Iverson got candid about his nocturnal reputation and how partying till the wee hours never affected his game.
At the time, tensions between A.I. and the Philly management had already begun mounting. Making matters worse were the constant playoff debacles after the 2001 Finals appearance. Hence, Iverson felt such stringent punishment was not the wisest way to deal with the situation.
As years passed, the Sixers legend understood the upside to leading a disciplined and healthy life, which included getting rid of all the partying mixed with alcohol.
