US President Donald Trump says he and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte have “formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland”.
As a result of the negotiations, he will no longer put tariffs on the European countries, which were scheduled to begin on February 1.
President Trump appeared alongside the NATO Secretary General on the sidelines of the Davos forum.
Mr Rutte has claimed NATO allies would not have bolstered defence spending without President Trump’s election.
The NATO Secretary General reassured the US President of Europe’s commitment to the alliance.
