Breaking News: Ex-Chiefs QB shares an encouraging message to Broncos fans…see more
The upcoming AFC Championship game between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots doesn’t have any particular significance for the Kansas City Chiefs beyond AFC West representation.

A former Chiefs quarterback recently provided unique commentary on the game following Bo Nix’s injury.
Retired quarterback Nick Foles weighed in with a special message of support for Denver’s starter, while taking an opportunity to annoy Patriots fans in the process. Foles famously started in relief of an injured Carson Wentz while with the Philadelphia Eagles, defeating the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
Denver will start Jarrett Stidham on Sunday, hoping for the same type of magic in the AFC Championship game.Foles played for 11 seasons and was a member of six teams, including the Chiefs in 2016.
He was the backup quarterback behind Alex Smith, starting one game and appearing in three for the 12-4 AFC West champions. He ended that season with three touchdown passes and no interceptions.
